Legal document pipelines

Organized and extracted metadata from two confidential legal archives with Claude vision and the Batch API: 13,288 documents for a telecom operator and 903 notarial records for a security-services group.

A bilingual rebuild of the company’s site in Astro, followed by a broader visual, interaction and structured-data update. Published on the Vercel feedback deployment; the domain transition is separate.

I lead frontend, UX and visual design for the hub, designing and developing the interfaces that present its work and systems.

LegalShelf

I lead CheckWise and Verifaid, built document pipelines and redesigned the LegalShelf site. I am now working on platform enhancements and new AI modules.

How I build

I own the system from the data model to the interface: define the workflow, choose the boundaries, test failure paths, and review what ships. AI agents help me implement; architecture, constraints and release decisions stay with me.

  • Direct

    I scope the change, write the brief and fix the constraints before any code exists.

  • Isolate

    Each agent works in its own git worktree, so parallel sessions never overwrite each other.

  • Gate

    I define the relevant tests, type checks and coverage requirements, then inspect the results for the change being released.

  • Remember

    A searchable knowledge base of every lesson and trap, recalled automatically at the start of each task.

  • Automate

    During summer 2026, a shift every six hours found, fixed and proved bugs, then requested my approval to merge.

  • Ship

    I review and authorize the merge. The main branch deploys to production.

Summer 2026 snapshot: 98% of CheckWise commits were co-authored with Claude, with more than 7,800 automated tests and four self-hosted CI runners. Details and dates are in the summer report.

About

I grew up in Mexico City and study Computer Science at Acadia University in Nova Scotia. I like problems where software has to be exactly right: compliance, legal documents, clinical queues.

At LegalShelf I lead development of CheckWise and Verifaid, build document pipelines, and work on the platform’s next AI capabilities. At Acadia’s AIoT Research Hub I lead frontend, UX and visual design. Neyvu is my independent course-aware AI product, now onboarding pilot users.

At Trinity College School, my high school, I captained the football team for two years, earned back-to-back Lineman of the Year awards and received the Leadership Award in my final year.
